Jones, Wolf & Kapasi, LLC (“JWK”) argued and obtained from the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, an Order granting final approval of a class action settlement in a 15 U.S.C. 1692 et seq, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) case against Arcon Credit Solutions LLC (“Arcon”) and Razor Capital LLC (“Razor”).
The FDCPA case involved Arcon sending New Jersey consumers letters or notices, regarding debts owned by Razor, that allegedly violated the FDCPA concerning attempts to collect on judgments.
The class action settlement includes monetary relief to the named Plaintiff, the over 600 New Jersey class members, as well as attorney fees and costs. JWK attorneys Joseph K. Jones and Benjamin J. Wolf were certified as Class Counsel. In addition, the National Consumer Law Center (“NCLC”) was approved as the cy pres recipient.
